The Dita Dress

For this glamourous new design I was inspired by the elegance of the Old Hollywood icons of the 1940s and 1950s.

Icons such as Rita Hayworth... Marilyn Monroe... Audrey Hepburn... Hedy Lamarr... I could name so many more but let's keep it short.

I made this dress specifically for myself to wear to the Dita Von Teese show. Which is why I had to name it after her of course! Dita is one of my biggest inspirations. I love the elegance and attention to detail she creates with every look. She is one of the reasons why I fell in love with vintage fashion in the first place.

Now, let me tell you something about this dress...

The Dita dress has a classic silhouette with beautiful details; a fitted bodice with off-the-shoulder sleeves and gathered details at the bust. There is boning on the inside so that the dress stays perfectly in place and even creates a slimmer waist. The skirt part has two layers. The part underneath is a long skirt which is ankle length. On top is an asymmetrical skirt part with gathers at the waist on one side. The top layer slopes diagonally and creates a beautiful and unique silhouette. The back has a zipper and a beautiful bow that is attached with two snap buttons. It is adviced to first zip the zipper closed and then attach the bow. Around the waist is a belt with a true vintage buckle.

The dress can be ordered both with and without sleeves. Please note, the sleeves are very tight and ensure that there is not much room to move. If you want to order the dress for an event where, for example, there is a lot of dancing, then I recommend ordering it without sleeves.

This dress can be ordered via the form at the bottom of the page and can only be ordered as ''Made to measure''
